The Wynn poker room reopened on September 30, 2020. It removed some tables, leaving 24 on the floor. Plexiglass partitions were installed at the remaining tables. This allows it to seat eight players per table.
For reel slots, video poker machines, table games, and poker; comps are based on your average bet, type of game you play, and length of play. Having your play tracked is easy. Simply insert your Wynn Rewards card into the slot machine, or hand it to the dealer before table game play. Players are responsible for ensuring their play is being tracked. Wynn Resorts decided to close Encore from noon Monday until 2pm Thursday each week due to low demand. The poker room was moved to Wynn near the parking deck entrance in front of Allegro.
The Wynn poker room launched with only cash games. It later added tournaments. The poker room is open 24 hours a day, seven days a week.
Wynn poker cash games
Players will find a wide variety of cash games at the Wynn poker room. This includes 1/3, 2/5 and 5/10 no limit Texas Hold’em. The buy-in is $100 to $500 for 1/3, $200 to $1,500 for 2/5 and $1,000 to unlimited at 5/10. Pot limit Omaha and mixed games are also common at the Wynn poker room at Encore.
Wynn poker tournaments
Tournaments returned to the Wynn poker room on October 22. There is one each day. It is $200 Sunday through Thursday. It starts at noon. It has a $10,000 guaranteed prize pool.
The 11am tournament on Friday is $230 with a $20,000 guarantee. Saturday’s tournament is at 11am. It is $270+30 with a $15,000 guarantee.
Wynn poker promotions
Players clocked in with the Wynn Red Card receive $1.50 an hour in comps. These may be used for food and other amenities. The Encore poker room does not take a jackpot drop so there are no other promotions.
Environment
The Wynn poker room at Encore is spacious. The tables and seating are as comfortable as it gets. Many of the dealers and floor staff have been working for the Wynn poker room for many years. Dealers are experienced in nearly any poker game so it is a great place to drop by for unusual mixed games. Drink service is quick and offers a wide variety.
